An eco-park 11 km east of Manizales on the road toward the Magdalena valley, set in cloud forest at around 2,000 metres. The grounds include a butterfly house with 26 native species you can walk among, a collection of several hundred orchid varieties, short forest trails, and a medicinal herb garden. It's also where you'll find the Juan Valdez flagship café, if you want to try premium Colombian coffee in a suitably atmospheric setting. Plan for a half-day; the trails are gentle and the birdwatching is good.
