Man market

Man's central market is one of the livelier in western Ivory Coast — colourful, noisy, and worth an hour of wandering. The craft stalls are particularly good: Dan/Yacouba carved masks and figures are sold here alongside woven fabrics and everyday goods. The masks range from tourist pieces to genuinely old examples; it pays to look carefully. The produce section is also worthwhile for getting a sense of what grows in the surrounding hills.
