The second-highest peak in Ivory Coast, Mount Tonkoui rises 20km west of Man on the same road as La Cascade. On a clear day, the views from the summit extend to Liberia and Guinea — a remarkable panorama of forested hills rolling off in every direction. The hike is rewarding without being technically demanding, making it a good half-day trip. Go early to beat the haze that tends to build through the morning.
