Café Camissa is a small specialist coffee shop in upper Polana that takes Mozambican coffee seriously — the country's small plantations on the slopes of Mount Gorongosa produce a soft, fragrant arabica that is hard to find brewed properly anywhere in the country, and this is one of the few places in Maputo that does. The flat whites and macchiatos are made on a good machine and the staff know what they are doing.
The room is small and bright, with a few outdoor tables on the pavement. The pastry counter is limited but well chosen. A good morning stop before a walk through Polana.
