The Dhow is one of the better mid-range seafood restaurants in the city, set in a covered semi-outdoor space just off the Avenida Marginal with views across the bay. The menu is broad — fresh fish of the day from the morning's catch, classic camarão à zambeziana (prawns in tomato, coconut and chilli), grilled lobster, vegetable curries, and a small but serviceable list of South African white wines.
The kitchen is reliable rather than spectacular, which in Maputo is high praise. Service is friendly and pace is unhurried. Reservations recommended at weekends; sunset over the bay is the time to come.
