The Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art is a university museum at Pan-Atlantic University, built around a large private collection of Nigerian art. Its galleries cover modern and contemporary artists as well as older works, giving a useful introduction to Nigerian visual culture beyond the better-known commercial galleries on the island.
It sits far out along the Lekki-Epe corridor, so it is not a casual downtown stop. It is worth planning around if you are already heading east or have a strong interest in Nigerian art.
