Baisha Well Park

Historic spring and small city park long associated with old Changsha's drinking water

Baisha Well Park is a modest place, but it carries a strand of Changsha history that large museums can miss. The shallow stone wells at the foot of Huilong Mountain were famous for clear water, and locals still treat the spot as part of the old city's memory rather than just another pocket park.

Come here as a short stop, not as a major outing. It pairs naturally with Tianxin Pavilion and the older lanes south of the centre, where Changsha feels less like a new provincial capital and more like a city that has been rebuilt, argued over, and lived in for centuries.
