Island's premier archaeological museum, spanning 8,000 years

The most important archaeological museum on the island, housed in a colonial-era building near the Pafos Gate just west of the old city. The collection spans from Neolithic stone vessels of the 6th millennium BC through to the Roman period, with highlights including a marble statue of Aphrodite from Soli (1st century BC) and a gold sceptre from the 11th century BC.

The museum sits inside the municipal gardens on Stylianos Lenas Square, at the corner of Museum Street and Homer Avenue. Allow about an hour for a thorough visit.
