Rumah Mode pioneered the Bandung factory-outlet model in the early 1990s and is still one of the better-organised shops. The site is a leafy Dutch-era villa compound on Jalan Setiabudhi, with the merchandise spread across a series of garden pavilions: jeans and casualwear at the back, shoes and bags by the cafe, kidswear in its own building. Stock changes constantly; it pays to come more than once if you have time.
There is a decent open-air restaurant on the grounds, useful for a break before continuing to the other outlets along Setiabudhi. Open daily and busiest at weekends, when buses of Jakarta visitors arrive.
