Jamshidieh Park climbs the northern edge of Tehran, where the city starts to give way to the Alborz foothills. Stone paths, water channels, trees, and mountain views make it feel cooler and more rugged than the flatter parks downtown.
It is a favourite for walkers and a good starting point if you want to sense Tehran's relationship with the mountains without committing to a serious hike. Go on a clear day; the view back over the city is half the reason to make the trip.
