Laleh Park

Laleh Park (Laleh means "tulip" in Persian) is the largest and most pleasant park in central Tehran — a broad green space in the cultural district that is surrounded by the Carpet Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the City Theater, and the Laleh International Hotel. It serves as the breathing room between these cultural institutions, and on spring and autumn evenings it is full of families, students, and couples.

The park has a small lake, a jogging circuit, and several tea stalls. Its main value is as a place to decompress between museum visits in a district that otherwise has little room to breathe. After the Carpet Museum or the Contemporary Art Museum, an hour in Laleh Park with a cup of tea is a reliable way to absorb what you have seen.
