The Tamparuli Suspension Bridge is a modest stop, but it has more character than its size suggests. The long wooden bridge crosses the Kiulu River in Tamparuli town, and its fame in Sabah comes as much from song and legend as from engineering.
It works best as a short cultural pause on the road between Kota Kinabalu and the hills around Kundasang or Kiulu. Come for photos, the river breeze, and the local story; do not make it the only reason for a long trip out of the city.
