Tun Fuad Park is where Kota Kinabalu starts to blur into the hilly green edge of the Crocker Range. It has a lake, jogging paths, simple food stalls, and enough shade to make it useful when the waterfront feels too hot and exposed.
It is not a wilderness escape, but it is a good local park for a relaxed walk, a cheap meal, or a break from the city centre. Families come for the lake and the small Water World theme park.
