China Town is Islamabad's most established Chinese restaurant — it has had a loyal following since the 1980s and outlasted dozens of imitators. The current incarnation is a large purpose-built building in F-8/4 with a basement kitchen, a fine-dining hall on the first floor and a roof terrace with views over the Margalla Hills.
The "Firehot Pot" — a Sichuan-style spicy hotpot served at the table — is the dish to order. Bookings are advisable for dinner, especially at weekends.
