About an hour south of Coron town by banca, Malcapuya Island has what is probably the best beach in the Calamian group — a long, slightly curved white-sand bay backed by coconut palms, with a small offshore reef good for snorkelling. It is part of most "Coron Tour B" itineraries and rarely too crowded by Philippine standards.
The water is shallow, warm and exceptionally clear. Bring food and water; the small kiosks on the island sell some basics but at noticeably tourist prices.
