Dadaocheng Wharf

Riverside wharf with sunset views, food trucks and river cruises

Address Dadaocheng Wharf, Tamsui River, Datong District, Taipei

Dadaocheng Wharf is the old river port of the Dadaocheng tea-trading district on the Tamsui River, the wharf from which 19th-century Taipei shipped its tea to the world. Today it is a leisure spot: a riverside park behind the flood wall, a strip of shipping-container food and drink stalls (busiest in summer), and a small cruise dock for boats up and down the Tamsui.

It faces due west and is one of the best places in the city to watch the sunset over the river and the mountains beyond. The wharf connects to the riverside cycle paths and is a short walk through the historic lanes from Dihua Street.
