Tulumtas Cave is a prehistoric cave southwest of central Ankara, discovered during ring-road construction. Its chambers are known for dense natural decoration, making it a different kind of stop from the city's museums and republican monuments.
It is an outlying sight, best treated as a short excursion if you have transport or are already exploring the western edge of the city.
