Sayid Hammam

Sayid Hammam is an old-style bathhouse near the entrance to Samarkand's Panjab, or Iranian, quarter. It is one of the city's more atmospheric hammam stops, with the appeal of a living local bath rather than a polished museum display.

Go for the setting and the traditional bathing experience. The nearby Korean Presbyterian church is an unexpected landmark in the same part of town, and makes this corner feel different from the heavily restored monuments around Registan.
