☰Truc Lam Buddhist Pagoda

Truc Lam is the largest and most impressive pagoda in Dalat, set on Phuong Hoang Mountain above Lake Tuyen Lam in a landscaped garden of 22 hectares. The pagoda complex, inaugurated in 1994, is an active Buddhist centre managed by the monk Thich Thanh Tu. A cable car runs up from the lake shore, though the forest path on foot is worth the effort for the views. The combination of mountain setting, still lake, and the scale of the complex makes this the essential sight in Dalat.
