Cockatoo Island Convict Site

Cockatoo Island is the largest island in Sydney Harbour and one of the Australian Convict Sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Its layers of penal, industrial, and naval history make it one of the harbour's most substantial stops beyond the central waterfront.

Regular ferries make the island easy to visit from Circular Quay and other harbour wharves. Allow time to walk the old convict precinct, dry docks, tunnels, and open harbour viewpoints.
