Berat's Ethnographic Museum is set in an 18th-century Ottoman house on the slope below the castle. The building is part of the appeal: timber galleries, stonework, and domestic rooms show how a wealthy Berat household was arranged.
Inside, the displays cover traditional clothing, weaving, silverwork, kitchens, guest rooms, and everyday tools. It is a compact museum, but a useful stop before climbing to the castle or wandering Mangalem, because it makes the old houses around you easier to read.
