Tomorri Mountain National Park rises east of Berat, giving the city a dramatic highland backdrop and one of southern Albania's most important sacred landscapes. The mountain is associated with Bektashi pilgrimage, especially around the shrine of Abaz Ali, as well as hiking, rough roads, and wide views.
