Renaissance seat of government with 600 heraldic shields

The Landhaus, built between 1574 and 1590, is one of the finest Renaissance buildings in Austria. Its twin-towered facade and the Great Blazon Hall inside — covered in more than 600 coats of arms of Carinthian nobles — make it genuinely impressive. The building still functions as the seat of the Carinthian provincial government, but the interior can be visited during opening hours.
