Café Wilder on Wildersgade is the quintessential Christianshavn neighbourhood café — a small, slightly cramped room with mismatched furniture, good coffee, and a loyal local following. It has been in the same spot for decades and the atmosphere is accordingly comfortable and unpretentious. Brunch on weekends, sandwiches and cakes during the week.
Christianshavn has fewer cafés than Nørrebro or Vesterbro, which makes Wilder something of a community hub. A good place to read or meet someone after walking the canals.
