Vejle's main library, Biblioteket, is housed in a modern building near the town centre that has become one of the more thoughtfully designed public buildings in the region. Danish public libraries have a reputation for architectural ambition — the standard is unusually high across the country — and Vejle's is a decent example of the type: generous light, open-plan reading areas, and spaces that feel genuinely designed for use rather than display.
It is worth stepping in even if you have no particular business there. The building sits close to the waterfront and can be combined with a walk along Bryggen. Free entry; open standard library hours.
