The main pedestrian street of central Oulu, running south from the market square through the Pokkinen district. Lined with shops, cafes, and the city's main shopping centres, Rotuaari is busy from morning through late evening — particularly in summer when the terraces spill onto the street.
The official summer programme of free street music, performances, and pop-up events runs along Rotuaari from June through August.
