Cathédrale Saint-Gatien

Gothic cathedral with exceptional medieval stained glass

Address Place François Sicard

The Gothic cathedral is the grandest building in Tours, with construction spanning from the 13th to the 16th century — which means the towers are fully Flamboyant Gothic while the choir below is thirteenth-century restraint. The stained glass in the choir is exceptional, some of the finest medieval glass in France. The small cloister behind the cathedral, La Psalette, is calm and well preserved.
