Trippen has been making sculptural, distinctive shoes in Berlin since 1992. Their flagship store sits in the Fountain Courtyard of the Hackesche Höfe, one of the city's most elegant restored Wilhelmine courtyards. The shoes are made in Germany and Italy, and while not cheap, they wear well for years.
