Potamia is an old mountain village above the busier east-coast resorts of Thassos. Its lanes, shade, and hillside setting make it a pleasant place for an unhurried walk, especially when the coast is hot and crowded.
It is quieter and less polished than nearby Panagia, which is exactly the point. Combine it with the Polygnotos Vagis Museum or a drive toward Ypsario Mountain.
