The Feneketlen-tó — the "Bottomless Lake" — is a small lake that formed when a brickworks clay pit flooded in the 19th century, sinking the kilns and giving rise to the legend that it had no bottom. Today it is the centrepiece of a leafy park just off Bartók Béla Boulevard, ringed by a walking path, willows, and the neo-Gothic St Emeric church.
It is a purely local spot — joggers, dog-walkers, students from the nearby university, ducks on the water — and a pleasant green pause a few minutes' walk from the boulevard's cafes.
