☰Gellert Thermal Bath

The Gellert is Budapest's most visually stunning thermal bath. Opened in 1918, it is famous for its soaring main hall with Art Nouveau mosaics, stained glass, and a gallery above the pool. The outdoor wave pool, added in 1927, is great fun in summer. The thermal sections for men and women are separate. It draws more tourists than locals these days, and prices reflect that, but the architecture alone makes it worth a visit.
