Torc Waterfall

Killarney National Park's classic waterfall, reached by an easy woodland walk

Torc Waterfall is one of Killarney National Park's most reliable short walks: a rush of water dropping through oak woodland below Torc Mountain. It is popular for good reason, with a quick approach from the car park and enough drama to satisfy visitors who are not doing a longer hike.

The falls are best early in the morning or after rain, when the water and mossy setting feel at their richest. Continue up the steps for broader views, or fold the stop into a day around Muckross House, the lakes, and the park roads.
