The most exuberant example of Leccese Baroque. Fantastic monsters and caryatids crowd the façade in a seemingly uncontrolled explosion of local sandstone carving. Work began in 1549 and took well over a century to complete, which explains the variety of hands at work. Inside, the altar by Zimbalo is worth close attention.
