The Church of the Most Holy Saviour is one of Erice's smaller medieval churches, founded in the 14th century by Count Enrico Chiaramonte. Its later stucco decoration gives the interior a softer baroque layer over the old stone setting.
It is best treated as part of a slow walk through Erice rather than a destination on its own. The pleasure is in how these small churches, walls, and lanes build up the town's dense medieval character.
