The Sanctuary of Demeter is a small ancient site on the edge of Erice, associated with the cult of the harvest goddess. The remains are modest, but the setting gives them weight, with broad views over Bonagia and the coast below.
It works best as part of a slow walk around Erice's outer lanes and walls. Come for the mix of archaeology, silence, and landscape rather than for monumental ruins.
