The South Pier is the 19th-century breakwater at the northern tip of the Curonian Spit, reached from Smiltyne by a paved track. It is a simple walk, but a good one: sea on one side, the port entrance on the other, and ships moving in and out of Klaipeda.
Combine it with the Lithuanian Sea Museum or a longer walk through Smiltyne. Wind can be strong at the end of the pier, so dress for the coast even on a bright day.
