Molen De Kroon is a traditional windmill that gives Arnhem a small but tangible link to Dutch milling history. Its value is partly visual, since the mill stands out in a city better known for parks, wartime history, and modern shopping streets.
When open, it is most interesting for the mechanics: sails, gears, and milling equipment make the building more than a picturesque landmark. Even from outside, it adds a quick heritage stop to a walk through the surrounding neighbourhood.
