Anna's Hoeve is a public park east of the centre, shaped out of a refuse dump in the early 1930s as a Depression-era make-work project. Three hills (locally and ironically called "the Alps") and a small chain of lakes were sculpted by unemployed workers from Hilversum.
Today it is a relaxed walking and swimming spot, with an unofficial open-water swim area in summer. A pancake restaurant sits on the largest lake, and the woods connect to the rest of the Goois Natuurreservaat. Easy to reach on foot from the centre.
