Dudok Walking Route

Hilversum is essentially an open-air Dudok museum. The architect designed schools, housing, garages, fire stations, and a sewage works across the town between 1915 and 1965 — over 75 surviving buildings. A signed walking route, mapped out by the local tourist office, links the highlights in a 6–8 km loop.

The route includes the Raadhuis, several primary schools (Geraniumschool, Fabritiusschool, Vondelschool), the Snelliuslyceum, the Reformatorisch Sanatorium, and a series of housing terraces. Bring the printed map from the VVV office on the Stationsplein or download it from the Dudok-Architectuurcentrum, which itself sits in the former Raadhuis annex.
