Grote Kerk

The Grote Kerk (or Sint-Vituskerk in older sources) on Kerkbrink is Hilversum's medieval parish church, a brick Gothic building with origins in the 14th century, much rebuilt over the years. The square in front is the oldest open space in the town and held the weekly market from the 16th century onwards.

The Goois Museum is in the white classical 1891 town hall next door — a small but well-curated collection of regional history, Dudok material, and changing exhibitions on Het Gooi. The two buildings together make Kerkbrink the obvious starting point for an old-Hilversum walk.
