Hardanger Bridge

The Hardanger Bridge crosses the Hardangerfjord west of Eidfjord and is one of Norway's most impressive road bridges. Its towers rise more than 200 metres above the fjord, and the road approaches connect through a striking system of tunnels and roundabouts inside the mountains.

Pedestrians can cross for free. The view from the span is the main reason to stop, with the fjord far below and steep mountains on both sides.
