Chorzów is a city built around a park. The Silesian Park complex on its eastern edge is the headline attraction — and within it sit the planetarium, the open-air ethnographic museum, the zoo, the amusement park, and the stadium. The old town itself is unremarkable, all post-war reconstruction and quiet streets, but the park more than makes up for it. A weekend in Silesia almost always includes at least one of these.
