Aurora Cruiser

Revolutionary warship moored on the Neva, now a museum

The cruiser Aurora sits permanently moored on the Petrogradskaya Embankment of the Bolshaya Nevka River. Built in 1900, it saw action in the Russo-Japanese War before becoming the most famous ship in Soviet history. Today it serves as a branch of the Naval Museum. The interior has been preserved with period artifacts and exhibits about the ship's role in Russian naval history.

Open daily 10:30-16:00, closed Mondays and Fridays. Nearest metro: Gorkovskaya.
