Cathedral of St. Andrew the First-Called

The Cathedral of St. Andrew the First-Called is one of Vasilievsky Island's most impressive religious buildings, completed in the late 18th century. Its cupola, slender towers, and tiered belltower make it a strong landmark among the island's numbered lines.

The interior is the reason to go inside, especially for the gilded iconostasis. It pairs naturally with a walk from the Strelka through Vasilievsky Island's older streets.
