Palace of the Countess of Lebrija

This 16th-century aristocratic mansion is Seville's best-kept secret for anyone who loves Roman mosaics. The Countess acquired spectacular mosaic floors from the ruins of Italica in the early 1900s and installed them throughout the ground floor — they are considered the finest Roman mosaics in a private setting outside Italy. The palace also features Mudéjar tilework, Moorish arches, and an eclectic collection of antiquities. The ground floor can be visited independently; the upper floor requires a guided tour. It is a far more intimate and less crowded experience than the Alcázar, with beauty that rivals it.
