The archaeology museum shares the Bibat complex with the Fournier playing-card museum. The collection covers Álava's prehistory, the Iron Age Celtiberian sites of the surrounding plains, and the Roman remains at Iruña-Veleia just west of the city.
Highlights include grave goods from Bronze Age caves and Iberian-script inscriptions on bronze tablets — the kind of material that fills in the picture of the Basque country before history was written down. Combined ticket with the Fournier next door makes it good value.
