A 12th-century Romanesque church on a quiet rise south-west of the city, in the village of Armentia (now within the city limits). The carved tympanum and the figures around the portal — apostles, biblical scenes — are some of the finest Romanesque sculpture in the Basque Country.
The church is reached by a pleasant 30-minute walk through the Florida park and the Paseo de Cervantes, or by city bus. Armentia is also the start of one of the spurs of the Camino de Santiago that crosses from the Way of the Coast into the French Way at Burgos.
