Sweden's only museum of design and applied art, housed in a handsome 1916 building on Vasagatan. The collection spans five centuries of craft and design, from 17th-century silverware to iconic 20th-century Swedish furniture. The East Asian ceramics gallery is a highlight, and the rotating exhibitions on contemporary Scandinavian design are reliably good. The museum shop is worth a browse for design books and small gifts.
