Kungsparken

Kungsparken is the largest park in Malmö's centre, a 19th-century landscaped park that wraps around the moat of Malmöhus Castle and stretches down to the canal. It is one of the most pleasant green spaces in southern Sweden: mature trees, ornamental bridges over the moat, and views of the castle's rust-red towers reflected in the water. The canal path connects it to the Western Harbour, making for a good walking or cycling route.

The park is at its best in spring when the cherry trees bloom and in autumn when the colours turn. In summer, locals spread out on the grass and the cafes around the edge do steady business. The Malmöhus Castle is at the park's northern edge and worth combining with a circuit of the moat.
