The oldest surviving Renaissance castle in Scandinavia, Malmohus sits behind its moat at the edge of Kungsparken. Built in the 1530s by King Christian III of Denmark, the fortress now houses several museums under one roof: the Malmo Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, and the City Museum. The art collection ranges from Nordic modernism to contemporary works, while the natural history wing has an aquarium and a good dinosaur section that keeps children occupied. Allow a couple of hours to do it justice.
